About the Managing Editor

Dr. C.C. Seow has edited or co-edited four books/booklets as well as published and/or presented more than 100 papers on various aspects of food science and technology.  He has served as a reviewer for several local and international journals.   As a former lecturer who has graded thousands of student papers and theses over the years, he is well placed to add that missing dimension in changing a less than satisfactory piece of work into a good one.  He can easily meet with students and faculty members of institutions of higher learning located in Penang and give that bit of personal touch or attention that is so often lacking where services of this kind are concerned.                  

Our substantive document editing services include:

·         Correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, and word choice & usage

·         Checking syntax and altering sentences that sound awkward, vague or confusing

·         Suggesting alternative phrasing when poor wording is used

·         Reorganizing text and restructuring paragraphs to achieve logical coherence

Our services do NOT include:

·         Creating or adding content.  However, we do have the advantage of being able to provide relevant technical advice on how to improve the presentation of scientific data (particularly those dealing with food science & technology).

·         Translating from one language to another

·         Writing your journal articles, dissertations, theses, term papers, monographs, etc. or parts thereof for you

·         Preparing/drawing tables, figures and other graphics for you, although we can provide  ideas as to their improvement in terms of clarity

·         Checking on the veracity of information.  Nevertheless, we will point out anything that we know is factually wrong.

·         Providing consultation to assist you while you are preparing or revising your manuscript.
